1. Overview
We collect only the information we need to run the Service: to sign you in, to meter and bill your usage, to keep the Service secure, and to support and improve it. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account email. The email address you use to create your account.
- Authentication identity. When you sign in with email and password or with an OAuth provider (GitHub or Google), we receive the identity details needed to authenticate you. Authentication is handled through our authentication provider.
- Billing details. When you set up paid usage, our third-party payment processor collects your payment information. We do not store your full card numbers; the payment processor does.
Information we collect automatically
- API usage and metering data. Records of the requests you make, including timestamps, the endpoints called, and the workspace the request belongs to. We use this to operate the Service, enforce quotas, and bill usage.
- Device and log data. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, collected through our privacy-respecting product analytics and server logs.
3. How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, and create and secure your account.
- Authenticate you and keep your account and API keys secure.
- Meter your usage, apply quotas and spend limits, and process payments through our payment processor.
- Respond to your support requests and send you service-related messages.
- Understand how the Service is used and improve it.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at legal@stackresolve.dev. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
7. US state privacy rights
If you are a resident of a US state with a comprehensive privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, or Virginia, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to appeal a denied request. You may exercise these rights by emailing legal@stackresolve.dev.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You are entitled to exercise your rights without discrimination.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to prevent fraud. When we no longer need it, we delete, anonymize, or isolate it from further processing.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and use service providers that may operate in other countries. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at legal@stackresolve.dev and we will delete it as required by law.
